Speaker Joe Straus Appoints Rep. Kleinschmidt to House Select Committee


Austin — Today, Speaker Joe Straus (R-San Antonio) appointed State Representative Tim Kleinschmidt (R-Lexington) to the House Select Committee on Government Efficiency and Accountability. The committee will review and make recommendations for eliminating inefficiencies in state government. The committee will also look for best practices in purchasing state goods and services and review the advantages and disadvantages of privatization. Continue reading...

Representative Tim Kleinschmidt was elected on November 4, 2008 to serve Texas House District 17 which includes Bastrop, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Fayette and Lee counties. Representative Kleinschmidt serves on the following committees: Agriculture & Livestock, Culture, Recreation & Tourism, and Rules & Resolutions.
